About Hannah
Professional Flautist • Royal Academy graduate • 12+ years' teaching experience
Hannah is a professional freelance flautist and flute teacher with over 12 years' teaching experience. She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music before completing a Master's degree at the Royal Academy of Music, where she graduated with Distinction, was awarded the prestigious DipRAM for an outstanding final recital, and achieved the highest mark awarded for a woodwind final recital.
Alongside teaching privately and in London schools, Hannah enjoys a varied performing career with leading orchestras and ensembles, including the Philharmonia. She has performed at some of Europe's most prestigious venues, including the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg), the Musikverein (Vienna), the Mariinsky Theatre and Nevill Holt Festival, and has appeared on BBC Radio 3 broadcasts and Signum Records recordings.
Hannah believes that every student learns differently, so lessons are always tailored to individual goals, interests and aspirations. Whether learning for enjoyment, preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams, or working towards auditions, her aim is to build confidence, creativity and a genuine love of music in a supportive and encouraging environment. She is proud to have maintained a 100% exam pass rate, with almost all students achieving Merit or Distinction.
